TCRC- CTY Division 945 LCA for Yard Conductors

As a representative for Yard Conductors in the GVT, I would like to thank you for your membership in and support of your local Union. As Local Chair I am also glad to have the opportunity to provide a number of valuable services to the membership.

Some of my responsibilities include representing members at investigations; preparation and tracking of grievances for unfair Discipline and Collective Agreement violations; communicating with the General Chairman’s office and the company on broader issues affecting our members; responding to ongoing member concerns via telephone and email; providing aid and referral on matters involving outside agencies; contributing to ongoing Labour Complaints in a continuing effort to protect our collective rights and working conditions; and working cooperatively with other Union executive to further the mandate given to us from the membership, within the framework of our Union By-Laws.

The carrying out of these responsibilities would not be possible without the many written contributions, time and support of the membership. I urge you to continue to take part in the various Union activities including attending the monthly Union meetings, as we continue to build a strong and responsive Division within the TCRC. Please feel free to approach myself or one of the Vice Chairs at any time for assistance in answering questions or dealing with your concerns, and please make use of the many resources found within this website.
